People tend to function from the point of view that there is something wrong with these children because they don't learn the way the rest of us do.

The reality is that they pick things up in a totally different manner. We need to step up and find out how they learn, not try to teach them using methods that might have worked for us but definitely don't work for them. 

What if they could be seen as who they are, not as who they aren't? What could that change?
